City-discoverer tour

Embark on a journey of discovery across Salzburg with the help of the city-discoverer folder!

The walking tour takes approximately 2 hours to complete, enabling parents and their children to take in 13 different attractions in Salzburg's old town in a fun way.

The folder is available free of charge from the Salzburg tourist information points or can be downloaded here. We would also be happy to print out a copy for you free of charge at reception.

This TRAVEL GUIDE for SALZBURG with CHILDREN, contains an array of information about what Salzburg has to offer for families: excursions, important sights, play areas, swimming pools, restaurants and much more.

The reception would be pleased to provide you with this travel guide and we would also like to tell you about our own current, personal recommendations!

House of Nature

A wonderful, colourful natural history museum, suitable for children. Kids love it!

The play and picnic area in Hellbrunn

The fabulous large grassed area is inviting to both big and small, allowing you to take some time to chill out and simply enjoy life! This combines well with a visit to the fantastic Hellbrunn Zoo, the trick fountains, or a visit to the castle (possibly by bike)!

Bicycles suitable for all ages can be borrowed from us for free. It would also be our pleasure to provide you with a cycle card and a Jausen back bag!

The open-air museum

A little outside of Salzburg. Reconstructed farmhouses, old traditions and a railway. Simply wonderful!

Tobogganing on Gaisberg

So close and such fun! We can hire out snow plates for your use!

The toy museum

The children will love it. It's also a chance for the adults to take a well-deserved break, particularly when the weather is poor.

The Magic Flute playground in Mirabellgarten

There is not a more impressive play area in the city centre!

The Marionette Theatre

An unusual cultural treat for the young and old!

A trip aboard a traditional Austrian wooden boat on Fuschlsee lake

Taking only 15 minutes by car, it boasts a crystal clear lake and you can take a tour around the Fuschlsee lake, snack on fresh smoked trout fillet on a "Jausentisch" (traditional wooden platter) and then travel back on a small wooden boat( "Zille") What more could you wish for?

We have a full programme of events available for you at reception.
